ABOUT THE COURSE

• Levels: GCSE AQA Foundation and Higher

• Maximum class size: 12

• 3 hours per week, 20 week course

• Enrichment sessions included

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course is set across three half terms and includes 3 classes of 40 minutes per week. Lessons will be taught in class sizes with a maximum of 12 pupils.

Each pupil will receive an individual tutorial session and one group tutor session every two weeks.

Lessons will include enrichment activities where pupils can continue learning outside of the lessons and in their own time. These have been designed to maximise creativity and independent, imaginative thought.

THE TEACHERS

Our teachers have been carefully selected for their knowledge of teaching in the online environment. They all hold SEN and tutoring qualifications and each educator offers different experiences in which they bring to the programme.

Students will have one teacher for the English lessons, another for the subject specific lesson and a separate teacher for the tutorials

PASTORAL

Individual tutorial sessions give the pupils an opportunity to talk about their academic progress, future academic plans as well as their wellbeing. The group tutor sessions are designed to provide the pupils with detailed pastoral care.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

There will be student-carer-tutor contract to enrol onto the course, this will be arranged online.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Technical requirements include a laptop/desktop with audio and webcam capabilities and a reliable internet connection.
